Message In Stanza

Poetry and Musings

The true light
That gives light to everyone
Was coming into the world
This light was transparent
It was felt through and through
And it reached out to you

It first was God
Then Jesus
Then the Holy Spirit
Now they all come to aid us
Down here on Earth
In this light

Call it a light of love
It’s a breathing deity
Consumed by a fiery passion
Obsessed with spreading this flame
This flame of passionate love

This broken piano
Has no backup singer
This diving board
Has no feet of teenagers
But it’s ok
I will jump into song…

Because of Your flame started
With, “Let there be light”

(C) Carly Wiggins 2018

P.S. The first three lines in the poem are taken from John 1:9. (NIV).

Revelation 19:12:
“His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself.” ( NIV).
