Message In Stanza

Poetry and Musings

Pressure and insecurity
It rains down so hard
The trees roots are giving out
A life that started with purpose
Will it end in doubt?

Fear is the enemy
But it’s an constant battle
With trusting God
And not believing the lies
And feeling robbed

I want to stand on my own two feet
But my feet have splinters
Guilt rears its ugly head
Telling me at least I can walk
But each day starts with dread

God, please come through
So many hurting people
Not willing to admit they are broken
I need deep reassurance
Not some wishful hopin’

Time to reach out for help
And love where people are at
Don’t judge and don’t compare
But leave that up to Jesus
When life seems unfair

When all dreams come crashing down
And you feel like you have nothing to offer
Pick up the shattered glass
Sweep up the cobwebs of your heart
Trust God will allow this time to pass

I had one of those days yesterday and resisted the lies of the evil one so your poem really resonates deeply with me

I am always in awe of His prompting when we surrender to Him. Your words were truly wonderful Carly.

Thanks Gina!! I agree! They were birthed out of agony and loneliness. I just found out my older brother is diabetic and needs to lose weight to stay healthy. Please pray for him! I have prayed for him so much but my hands feel tired and I feel like my family and I are going about this alone. Thank you!

I will pray for healing, for the medical professionals to be guided and for a positive outcome. I just went through a major life event and know how you are feeling, the days are long with no closure or help. You are not alone, prayers for your family and you.

Thanks Gina! My faith has been shaky again. I hope there is still a sparkle of hope in my poetry lately. I’ll be praying for you too!!
