The day we sprawled out
Is the day that nature called out
We cover up the river bank with cement
And build a bank
I am consumed
By the fact that we are consumers
We are just heartbroken people
Who want to be hopin people
We overstimulate our foods
While we overstimulate our minds
I am burdened
By the idea that we overburden ourselves
We try to be an “all-in” world
But we are just a fallen world
Another sign in a plaza is going up
And we are still looking for signs
Reach deep down inside
Down in the valley we keep our sanity
I know it isn’t easy to escape in nature
In order to try to reshape in nature
Just try little acts of being kind
You know the kind I am talking about
Love and nature is in us
You’ll love the purpose that resides there

love the nature and little kindness you weaved in your poem, it is truly in us, we need to pause all the over stimulation and get back to basics, lovely words for a new year’s resolution

Very lovely Carly, you’re absolutely right we need to let kindness flow freely from us.😊💖
