Phone in hand

Eyes closed

Wrecked car

Shut down roads

Do we think

Before we speak?

Do we think

Before we act?

Crushed bones

Cut lip

This car

Was sinking ship

As soon as

She bent her neck

And maneuvered

Her fingers

Multiple streets

Of opportunity

And devastation

Can’t you see

We are one step away

From night stays

By a breathing machine

Or an early grave

It’s so sad and unfortunate that people still don’t heed the warnings.
