Poetry and Musings

Told I don’t measure up

Feeling inadequate now

Like a broken lamp

No light coming within or without

No electrical current going on

I had depth and shape

But it’s turned to broken glass

And shattered dreams again

Will other lamps light up my bulb?

Will I just aimlessly sit?

  1. Isn’t this the truth sometimes. 🙂 I like to think that we aren’t broken, just one of our bulbs blew 🙂 This piece is sad and beautiful Carly
