God is my Confidant

He is everything I am not

I don’t need to search for a needle

In a haystack

God is right here

He’s got my back

 

Patience allows you to rejoice

It gives me back my rightful voice

Complaining leads only to regret

Webs of despair

But is present God

Don’t let pain ensnare

 

God is my Confidant

He is everything I want

I don’t need to search for gold

In a mine

Because His gold resides inside

His Spirit within me is my shrine
