Am I loved?

My heart was smudged

Is love just an action

Out of a response of connection?

Or an attitude of the heart to see the best in someone?

 

I know love is a give and take

But sometimes me you forsake

In the name of reputation

That is honor and pride

Not love

 

It all comes down to being insecure

Let’s build a rock on you and I bonding more

Let’s ignite your gifts and mine

And dismantle the ones that don’t make sense

All in the name of love
