Bend and shape me
Do not let the Holy Spirit escape me
Receive from the church
But let God be your first thirst
Papa, every day we all struggle
But come in like a flood of love
Fueled by exhortation of the dove
This world will wear out like a garment
But You will remain the same God
You are fishing for souls
Like a fisherman with a rod
You know I will obey You
As I quietly pray to You
I am no longer a foreigner
But a fellow citizen with God’s people
Teach me love that’s elastic
A substance so divine
It’s not longer plastic
You are my great lover
Always seeking a pure heart
Help me to see You Father
Independent souls but one part

P.S. There are excepts from Hebrews 1 and Ephesians 2 in this poem. 🙂

So beautiful, Carly!
