Message In Stanza

Poetry and Musings

We watch the night sky, safe under its lights, reading a language of the night. Our hands fumble, circle as if in orbit, landing inside each other’s magnetic field. We whisper to one another in a planet’s dialect, built by a syntax of suns, stanzas that play between solar winds and the ultraviolet, poetry of passion […]

Yes, I will magnify the Lord

Yes, my soul will reach the highest abode

Yes, praise I have reaped and sowed

Happy three-lining

There lay a fire burning beneath the core of my belief where time flows like a river swift winds of chance change and shift then came that stare surfaced from far below its stillness ever-changing stared right back at me and my way was seen constant and rearranging. Then came a breeze she let a…

Life is full of cascades
But it also shines on parades
Listen, it’s important to listen
Take advice from elders
You know all these things
Then why do you allow the truth to sting?

I feel like I am learning the same truths twice
Love always guides me along
Showing me my convictions were precise
Why can’t I accept love?

God made me and this beautiful world
He wants nothing but good things for me
Sure, He disciplines me from my bad choices
And gives me high love portions
With your truth, God I should take away this distortion
The liar makes me think life shouldn’t be happy or fun

Thanks God for revealing this truth
The liar would makes think that no one cares
Thanks God for being there for all these years
I am broken but I know my brokenness brings you glory
And we are a part of the same exact story

I give your praise
I quote Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting.”
God please enjoy this phrase
For I know you are with my all my days

The magic is in the air

As evil whispers my name

But I cling to love without despair

What is truth?

Some misguided virtue?

Some tarnished light?

Some many different questions go through my mind

Where’s my freedom lie?, Where’s peace?

Tell me there’s hope, I don’t want to feel confined

But I cling to love

I hold it real tight

Because I know it’s truth
