Message In Stanza

Poetry and Musings

Is it judgement or refinement?

Houston is getting back on God’s assignment

Hurricanes come and go

But you still reap what you sow

God, show us Your mercy

Don’t leave us

Send us waves of Your love

To reach us

To not grieve You

But to receive You

It’s not judgement on Louisana and Texas

But God’s grace

Not greasy but divine grace

holding hands

Of all the challenges we have faced

Nothing is like being displaced

Being an evacuee

Because of Harvey

All possessions down the stream of water

It makes you question

Where’s your Heavenly Father?

But the community in Houston is strong

Offering guidance, protection, and shelter to the throngs

My heart grieves

I am in complete disbelief

I have been safe

But it feels like a bad dream

But it’s nothing in comparison nothing to the other people’s chafe

The heart can only take so much

Before we begin to lose touch

Lose touch with reality

By having to flee

Flee not just by your place of residence

But fleeing your spirit

Wanting to hold on to some sort of benevolence

But Houston, will regain momentum

And churches, organizations and others will give to hope to victims

It will take a while

Esp. when they are in a strange cloud of confusion and denial

The sun will shine again

Not just outside

But all around Houston people’s hearts will form an unbreakable chain

Just to let everyone know I am safe in Houston in this storm. Prayers please for the others impacted by this! Thank you.

Even when the heat and cool moisture starts to form
I will praise You even in this storm

Protect and oversee
Your children
Impacted by Hurricane Harvey

Waters may rise
But I am still hallowed in Your eyes

Even if the water dampens
You are lover of my soul
No matter what happens

Consider it pure joy and opportunity
When the trials come flooding as the sea

God has got your back
When you are sinking
And satan has you under attack

God will outsmart his wit
And throw him in the pit

Praise You, Father
I may be drowning
But I am immersed in Your loving water

You have the world in Your hands
And a heart for our destiny still stands

Praise You, Abba Papa Daddy
I know you will work this out for Your good
And Your word is necessary, not just handy

We must soak in Your word
As Texas continues to work together as one accord

People, pray for every Texas city
Even if it looks scary
The Lord gives you His love and pity

We must stand strong now
Giving prayers of supplication to Thou

This hurricane Harvey is just not moving like we thought it would. I am safe in a big house on the 2nd floor but it just isn’t moving. Houston may shut down their power for safety reasons. Please pray for peace, safe rescue missions, and everyone would not leave. Thank you! Depending on if they shut down power, I may be out of pocket a while.

Please feel free to comment and share this!! Thank you for your prayers!!

What a spectacular view from Your eyes, Lord

It’s a magnificent day

Children are eating ice cream like it’s a heavenly treat

Lovers are jumping off a driving board

Into a pool of trust and affinity

When used correctly

Free will can be so sweet

The fireflies are whirling around

They are penetrating the sky like a light show

They are buzzing like they are exactly where they want to be

Children and lovers are ready for the showdown

If we are made for this; it must be this unmistakable

That this love is elastic and unshakable

Children and lovers lift up your hands and make your plea

Children; the innocent bloodline of God

Lovers; the marriage of man to God

Take your stand in this tarnished life

Your unspoken beauty and dignity give the Lord laud

Oh, Your view Father, must be marvelous!

For children who show such contentment and fearlessness

And lovers who passionately and effortless rely on their husband or wife

God, You see the pain in the Earth

But You still ask for us to come to You

Because You created us for this moment in time, for always

Because it’s beauty when lovers kiss or mothers give birth

It’s the continuous cycle of life, you know?

Life is in full bloom after life’s snow

All because of children and lovers amaze

I live in Houston, TX and Hurricane Harvey, as you may know is heading towards Corpus Christi now. This is about 3 hours away from me, so the hurricane will die down as it gets closer to me. And so there is no evacuation set up. We are expected to get lots of rain and flooding. Please pray for the people of Texas right now. I am safe with my family. I just waiting to get back to sunshine and normal life but since it’s a category 4, it may take many for things to go back to normal. Now it’s just the calm before the storm. I will give you updates as they come and may even write a poem about it! Lol!

Beautiful poetry. Did I say beauty mixed with real and raw emotions? 😀 Check out this blog.

On Encountering Sorrow's avatargeneraliregi

All their lives men struggle for food and recognition

Yet I tire and resign to a lifetime of poverty and idleness

Like a wandering cloud, all my ambitions have amounted to nothing

Now I grow old and frustrated by the day

Of all talents I lack the one I envy most

Pure regrets come anew in my sleep pillow

I just want to say Radiohead is an amazing band. Thom Yorke has the voice of an angel. Their lush musical overlays and ethereal vocals makes it so comforting like soup on a cold day. Every one says OK Computer is their favorite album but mine is the Bends. It’s nineties rock at its finest. No Nirvana-rip-off album. It’s an intelligent album with rollicking guitar. It took me a while to truly appreciate them and now I am glad I do.

Do you like Radiohead? What’s your favorite album by them?

Please listen to this if you get a chance:

On a site called Rate Your Music, I have some reviews with the username NewBeginning. I reviewed Radiohead’s King of Limbs.
