I was nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award by Philosophy Through Photography. Thank you for nominating for this wonderful award! I know I took a while, Philosophy, but thanks for your patience. đ Be sure to check out this awesome site mixed with philosophy and photos, what a great concept! đ
âThe Mystery Blogger Award is an award for unique bloggers with witty messages. The blog not only captivates but inspires and motivates. They are one of the best bloggers that exist, and they deserve all the recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who have fun and inspire people in their blogs; and they do it with love and passion.â
Creator: Okoto Enigma
The prize is called âMystery Blogger Awardâ because the meaning of âEnigmaâ is âmysteryâ, so it bears the name of its creator. In addition, it is a very appropriate name because there are many blogs that are still a mystery for all of us and when we know them, they result in being extraordinary.
The Rules
Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog. Questions Asked by Philosophy Through Photography are:
When I feel misunderstood in a social sitaution, esp. in real life. Also when I pour my heart and soul into a project or something and don’t reap the benefits I thought I would get it. I hate the feeling of beating my head against the wall to no avail.
2. How bad you can become ? and Why ?
I can get pretty angry. I am learning to take more deep breaths along the way. đ
3. What is the secret of your success story so far ?
Be unique. March to the own beat of your drum. Adversary comes but instead of taking into the chin you learn to take it in stride. đ
4. How selfish you can be ? And example ?
I can be, like we all can be, at times. I will use an example from a long time ago. My sister made me gifts as a child and I told her I didn’t like them and I wanted something different. I didn’t know how to white lie as a kid. I thought I had to be honest in every sitaution but looking back, I was selfish at times.
5. What is your last wish ?
That when I start a family (I am in my twenties but I am not ready yet)Â but my children and my grandchildren are happy and healthy before I pass on.

Clip my wings
This allows me to sing
When the truth starts to sting
My dignity, your dignity
Is muddled
Like a dirty day
I am tried of proving to you
That I am smart
With my brain intact
I feel foolish
Like a clown
In a circus act
But this degrading
Has allowed me to fly
Fly away
I am flying to the nearest city
My weakness is no longer a pity
Itâs a strength thatâs oh so pretty
The key is wrapped
Around my neck
I am ready for new chances
I may have felt trapped
But now I feel anew
Finding my stride again
Distance keeps coming
But I am no longer afraid
I will move forward
I feel myself humming
With other birds
Beckoning a new day
God, shine your light
May it stay bright
And guide my flight

Here is a tanka I made inspired from this picture I took. A tanka is a Japanese poetic form. It consist of 5 lines the first and the 3rd line have 5 syllables and the other lines have 7 syllables.

On the move today
Delivering on promises now
The snow may slow us
But my heart melts at the thought
Iâll be home for Christmas soon, love
Itâs been such a dismal day. Lonely as the fog in the Houston air. The fog feels like heavy airbags resting on everybodyâs chest. It looks so thick, it feels so heavy.
Sam just lost his son, Michael to the volcanic eruption in Mexico. Words canât describe the emptiness he feels. He tries to pray but he is just too gloomy.  The fog reminds him of pictures he saw on the news of the Mexican volcanic eruption. Smoke billowing through the sky like an unwanted light show mixed with red hues. Itâs been a dismal day.
Word of the Day Challenge: Dismal
I hope you enjoyed this! đ
Snow
White powdery substance
It feels like
A soft sensation
What a delight
Childhood
I used to play
In the snow
Why donât I anymore?
I donât know
Growing older
A blessing and curse
I yearn for more
But as a child
I was never spiritually poor
Life
Never take it for granted
Like the snow
It will be here one day
But gone the next

Holy, holy, holy
God, You are holy
As holy as the white snow
You reach out to those
In the valley below
Peaceful, peaceful, peaceful
God, You are peaceful
As peaceful as a swan
You comfort those
Who wait for the dawn
Merciful, merciful, merciful
God, You are merciful
As merciful as a doting grandmother
You free those
Who have no other
God, You are holy, peaceful and merciful
God, You are all of these things
And we love You

I just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my followers. Here is a poem to celebrate:
Happy Thanksgiving
Bring out the turkey
With stuffing and gravy
Itâs day for being lazy
Thank you, Lord Jesus
For our blessings
Even for the trials and testings
We are thankful
Every day we try our best living
We are gracious in our soul
As each day comes and goes
But letâs rest for this day
Once we are grateful, we see
That itâs more than the food before us
Letâs celebrate the yearsâ highs and lows
As we eat, letâs give thanks and pray

What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
This world can be corrupt. âWhat keeps me hanging on?â You may ask. Itâs the hope of eternity. âThe hope of gloryâ (1 Colossians 2:7) beats any day boring, sick, tired, sad, angry, or anxious day. Since âsatan only comes to steal and kill and destroyâ (John 10:10 ) life can be corrupt.
I wish we could keep our doors unlocked, then maybe we could our hearts wide open as well to others 24/7. But is that realistic? We have to protect ourselves at times, in my honest opinion.
But I found this hope in Godâs Word:
Isaiah 51:6: Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
    look at the earth beneath;
the heavens will vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment
and its inhabitants die like flies.
But my salvation will last forever,
    my righteousness will never fail.
Yes, this life as we know it will eventually end but the hope of glory will be forever! Amen!
Prayer:
God, prepare our hearts today as we seek You in this corrupt world of ours. Even with satan tempting and the consequences of peopleâs sins, You are good, God. Protect and love us, Father today. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to pay the ultimate price for our sins, so we could have a hope of a everlasting life filled with love and peace. Amen.
How can I be praying for you? Feel free to put your prayer concerns in the comments below (if you feel comfortable). You also send me an email. There is a link to my email on my blog. We could always use support and prayers. â¤ď¸đ¸
